Our History
In 1994 Kids Creative Classics was born to make a difference in children’s lives. In its early years the label produced music and activity books for children ages 4-10. Its first children’s release, A Child’s Spirit garnered a National Parenting Publications Award. Subsequent releases Happy Happy Kwanzaa and Peace In Our Land, two educational book and music packages, earned multiple awards including a Parents Choice Award, two National Parenting Publications Awards, a Dr. Toy Award and an award from Parent Guide To Children’s Media.
In 2004, after the release of it’s award-winning signature package Dream A World, Kids Creative Classics celebrated it’s 10th Anniversary by taking on a new face and a new brand – Dream A World®.
In 2007, Dream A World® released its first award-winning hardcover book series with music called Young Masters Little Wisdom Series and an accompanying stand alone CD. The result was four Parents Choice Awards. With this release Dream A World® launched a new overall growth strategy which included a multimedia division and development of television projects, feature film, Internet programming and DVD releases.
Early in 2009 Dream A World® announced the debut of it’s first online series for children Young Masters Little Wisdom Adventures. The first episodes called Secrets of the Heart feature the book’s narrator, African-American actress Elayn J. Taylor as Saphinne. In fall of 2009 Dream A World’s educational outreach officially took on non-profit status as Dream A World Education, Inc., founded to promote and sponsor standards based arts education programming for children. Its first program Secrets of the Heart, a six week residency program for children K-2 is currently working in low income schools in Los Angeles.
For over 15 years we have presented programming for children ages 5-10 through workshops and performances which have included the Los Angeles Times sponsored Kid City, Festival of Books, International Child Art Foundation in Washington D.C., International Children’s Foundation in Los Angeles, Corrine Seeds UCLA Elementary, Los Angeles School District, Clark County School District in Nevada, Montessori Schools and at Borders Bookstores.
In October of 2010 we released three new book titles in a new larger format, with enhanced CDs. In 2011 these titles are now available as enhanced e-Books. As Dream A World® expands we consult with the finest elementary educators to develop and expand curricula and to inform product development so that we can continue to offer teachers, parents and children the best in educational resources.
“Children need to recognize the power they hold to make a difference.”
